Isabel Stirling is Director of Human Resources for BET, responsible for HR strategy and operations for the Trust. The HR team aims to deliver across all aspects of our employees’ working lives: attraction and recruitment of quality staff, enabling high performance (including pay and benefits), wellbeing and employee engagement, and talent development.
Since studying Psychology at the University of St Andrews she has always had an interest in human social behaviour, and pursued this interest in a career in HR, starting at Mars UK, moving to Harvey Nichols & Co, then Allianz Insurance, prior to joining BET in 2016. She is a Chartered Member of the CIPD, the professional body for experts in people at work. Working for an organisation which does so much for the future of our young people is her motivation in coming to work each day.
Education in all aspects is immensely important and if the team she leads can contribute to enhance the working lives of our people, they can help them deliver the best for our students. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and friends, participating in her church leadership team, and she has recently discovered a love for playing and watching cricket!
