Andrew joined BET when Steyning Grammar School joined in 2019. As part of the Steyning Grammar school leadership team he was already experienced in school data analysis and management. Andrew sees the purpose of data within the trust as enabling teachers to know their students better so that they can help them more effectively with their learning.
Andrew leads a team of Assistant Heads and Data Managers in schools across the trust. The team analyses the progress and attainment of the trust, its schools, subject areas and teachers. In addition, it runs an in house assessment system where students’ progress in every year group is measured twice a year and – most importantly – makes sure that the data teachers need to know to help them teach most effectively in the classroom is readily and easily available to them.
