Bohunt Education Trust Celebrates Exceptional A Level Success

Bohunt Education Trust (BET) is celebrating another year of outstanding A Level results across its sixth forms, highlighting the hard work, commitment and ambition of its students.

At Bohunt Sixth, an impressive 46% of exams were awarded A* or A grades (almost double the national average), enabling students to secure coveted places at Oxford, Cambridge, Bristol, Southampton, Exeter, Lancaster, UCL, Manchester, King’s College London and with top employers such as BAE Systems.      

Student highlights include:

  • Jake achieved A*A*A*A and will read Economics at Brasenose College, Oxford
  • Sally achieved A*AAB and will read Modern Foreign Languages at Robinson College, Cambridge
  • Zoe achieved A*A*A*A* grades and is taking up a highly competitive degree apprenticeship with BAE systems
        
  • Jack also achieved A*A*A*A and is going to study Physics at Southampton
  • Sarina and Tilly both achieved A*A*A* and are going to study at Exeter and Lancaster respectively
  • Morgan, Amelia and Phoebe achieved A*A*AA and will study Mechanical Engineering, Theatre & English and Biochemistry at Russell Group universities.
  • Achieving A*A*A, Theo will study at Bristol, Adam at Southampton, Sisilie at UCL, Jack at Exeter and Zarah at Manchester.
  • Oscar, Alice, Mia and Emily all achieved A*AAA and will take up places at Russell Group universities.
  • Jeannique attained AABB grades which will take her to King’s College to study Computer Science
  • 100% of Oxbridge holders will take up their places.

At Steyning Grammar School Sixth Form, students excelled in both A Levels and Applied qualifications, securing places at top universities and in competitive apprenticeships:

  • Violet who achieved A in English Language, A* in Art and Design and A* in Art and Photography; she now goes on to study Art Foundation at Brighton Met.
  • Soib who achieved A* in Maths, A* in Further Maths, A in Computer Science and B in Physics – she has gained a place at University of Warwick to study Computer Science.
  • Alice, Oli Hanna Charles, Charlotte, LucaH and Ellie achieved a full suite of As or above in their chosen subjects.
  • Arthur achieved Distinction* Distinction* in Health and Social Care and B in PEB has secured a degree apprenticeship with the police force.
  • Phoebe achieved Distinction* Distinction* in CTEC Sport and a Distinction in Forensic Investigation; she now goes on to study Primary Teacher Education at University of Oxford Brookes.

BET’s sixth forms provide expert teaching, enrichment opportunities, and in the case of Steyning Grammar’s boarding provision, a unique environment that develops well-rounded, confident individuals ready for life beyond school.
