As BET seeks to expand, we look forward to extending our high-quality and innovative educational offering, to reach more young people across the country.

Steyning Grammar School (SGS) has today announced plans to look to relocate its Sixth Form to a new site and to take the next steps in due diligence towards joining the successful Bohunt Education Trust (BET).
SGS, a high achieving secondary school which opened its doors 400 years ago, is rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted for its boarding provision. The School has seen many positive changes in the last few years and, following an extensive strategic review, its governing board has voted to move its Sixth Form provision to a new site and to sell its Church Street site, which is no longer fit for purpose.
To support these exciting developments and to continue and strengthen further the educational outcomes that the School provides the young people in its community, SGS’ governors considered a number of potential partners. The School is delighted to have chosen to continue the process of due diligence Bohunt Education Trust (BET), a leading multi-academy trust based in the South of England.
Bohunt Education Trust is a high-performing, innovative academy trust which runs seven successful schools, plus a sixth form. The Trust’s family has just celebrated opening its first all-through school, Bohunt Horsham and its founding school, Bohunt School, was named School of the Year by TES in and rated ‘Outstanding’ in every category in its latest Ofsted report.
As well as high quality teaching and learning inside the classroom, the Trust also provides over 7,500 students with numerous extra-curricular and outdoor education opportunities. Central to BET’s ethos is a commitment to using innovation that works, giving all students every opportunity to succeed in life, regardless of their background.
