BET Welcomes Educators from Nyhemsskolan, Sweden

Three schools from Bohunt Education Trust hosted visitors from Angelholm, Sweden this week.

Eight teachers and one Headteacher spent a week with the Trust, shadowing teaching staff in the schools and time with our Director of Education, Phil Avery.

BET’s international reputation for educational excellence and innovation has drawn interest from around the world, with BET staff welcoming the opportunity to share their ideas with the schools in China, Europe and further afield.

Our visitors spent time in the Science, Music and Maths departments, seeing how the students are taught, the interaction between staff and students and the technology that many lessons have now introduced.

Sharing cross-curricular teaching ideas can be a worthwhile and valuable experience for all staff at BET, one which benefits our students. Phil Avery, Director of Education said, “BET staff really welcomed the opportunity to share their ideas with the Swedish educators, they welcomed the questions and challenges they had and learnt as much from them as they did from us. BET realises that its success is due to our openness to new ideas and reflection on current practise; hosting international visitors is a fantastic way of doing this”.
