Teaching School Alliance (TESLA)

BET is the lead partner in the Teaching School Alliance (TESLA), which offers a range of bespoke continuing professional development (CPD) and leadership development courses. We work with newly and recently qualified teachers (NQTs and RQTs), more experienced practitioners, those starting out in management and aspiring Headteachers.

We develop our courses in collaboration with the universities of Chichester, Sussex, Winchester and Portsmouth, Winchester Science Centre and the Mathematics & Science Learning Centre at the University of Southampton.

School Experience Programme (SEP)

If you’re thinking of teaching as a career, we’d always recommend gaining some classroom experience before you apply. It’s a chance to watch lessons and see for yourself what it’s really like to be a teacher; it also give you examples and observations to include in your application and interview.

BET is part of the School Experience Programme (SEP) which provides placements at schools across the country. If you’d like to spend time in a BET school to see if teaching is for you, please Contact Us.
